What is detailing?
Detailing is the extensive process of reconditioning a vehicle to a “like new” state.
Why Street Dreams?
There are many levels of detailing and not all detailers are the same. Most detailers focus on the basic “wash and wax” type services whereas Street Dreams focuses on ultra premium, extensive detail work. A Street Dreams’ detail revolves around a solid foundation of car care knowledge and proper technique. Time and time again the careless work of unskilled detailers cause more damage than good to your vehicle. Every Street Dreams detail is treated with the utmost care and no surface is overlooked or under cared for.
Why are your details so time consuming?
A premium detail takes time. Nothing is ever rushed on a Street Dreams detail and if you pay for perfection you will get just that. Most details take anywhere from 6-10 hours to complete. Some more exclusive jobs will require 2 or even 3 days to complete depending on the level of extensity.
Why do new cars require a detail?
The most important time to get your vehicle detailed is just after it is delievered to you. Most foreign cars sit outside in port waiting to be delivered to the dealership. In that time outside, a new car will be exposed to all the elements. Acid rain, bird droppings and the protective tape on the paint will bake their way into the new cars finish leaving a mess for the dealership to cleanup. Dealerships take little care in cleaning a new car. Greasy tire shine, plastic tape lines, hazed glass and swirl marks are some of the most common “gifts” received from a dealer prepped vehicle. A “New Car Prep” detail from Street Dreams will un-do all of those things and bring out your new cars true beauty.
Is detailing done on site or at your location?
As of now detailing is done at my home in Norwood, NJ. I started out as a mobile detailer but found the controlled enviorment of my personal garage a much more suitable place to detail. The fully functional garage is equipped with all the tools required for a detail including heat, air conditioning and proper flourescnet lighting. If multiple vehicles or a collection of cars is to be detailed, on site services are available but adequate space and water supply must be provided.
Do you accept all vehicles for detailing?
All cars are welcome for appointments but due to the price of services and the extensive “show car” type work done, Street Dreams focuses more on luxury and exotic vehicles.
What types of products are used?
Only the finest car care products are used in the detailing process. All car wash shampoo’s and wheel cleaners are pH balanced (non-acidic) so they will not damage the finish in any way. Any leather products or paint polishes used do not contain silicone or petroleum. In addition all paint polishes are 100% clearcoat safe and do not mask or fill in defects. Chamois, terry towels and stiff brushes are never used on a detail, only the softest microfiber towels and boars hair brushes touch your cars surfaces.
Are you insured?
Yes, Street Dreams is a fully insured detail company.
